1940s Heuer chronograph ref. 346 AR

Coming from the late 40s, this bold chronograph made by Heuer is a collector’s favourite. This reference and the 2447 (the first iteration) are usually referred to as the “pre-carrera”. His large waterproof case and gilt radium dial make it a great watch to wear and discuss about.

This very example comes in a great shape, with a nicely patinated dial and matching hands, all UV and Geiger tested. The all steel 37,5mm case has round pushers and a screwed caseback. It features the highly appreciated Valjoux 71 movement and has, like all Valjoux 71 chronographs, a strong presence on the wrist. This is a pretty rare model, in very nice condition. A serious watch for serious collectors.

Condition

Overall condition is great for the age of the watch. Dial is in good condition, with a nice and homogeneous patina. Case was probably never or barely polished and shows some usual aging marks. Crown seem to be a replacement. Fully serviced and coming with our 1 year mechanical guarantee..
