1940s Jaeger-Lecoultre Triple Calendar Moonphase

During the late 40s, Jaeger-Lecoultre has produced a handful of triple calendar watches, usually in 18kt gold. A few models were produced in stainless steel, and, even rarer, featuring a moonphase complication. The gold version got some notoriety when worn by the master of masters, Picasso himself.

This gorgeous example, steel and moonphase, come in a nice case with drop lugs, shows a nice patina to the dial and an mesmerizing gilt moonphase disc. It was obviously produced for the French market, the date discs being displayed in French, along with the “Fabriqué en Suisse” mention.
