1940s Longines 13ZN chronograph in steel

In the 40s, this superb Longines chronograph has the highly coveted13ZN movement, moreover in a superb stainless steel step case of 35mm, with fixed bars. It features a beautiful blue handset, a dual-tone dial, with faded outer tachymeter scale.

According to Longines Archive Department, “Originally, the serial number 5’865’919 identifies a stainless steel wrist chronograph with the reference 3870 and the case order number 20120, equipped with a Longines mechanical hand-wound movement, caliber 13ZN. It was invoiced on 4 July 1940 to Wirth, then our agent for Switzerland.”

Condition

The watch is in excellent condition. Dial and hands are very clean. Case is in top shape and very lightly polished. Crown is original. It comes on a leather racing strap and is covered by our 1 year mechanical guarantee.
