1940s Vacheron Constantin waffle dial and Teardrop lugs in 18ct gold

We stronlgy believe that Vacheron Constantin will be a major trend in 2022. After years in the shadow of Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet (the 2 other parts of the “holy trinity” of watchmaking), they finally seem to re-gain the attention they deserve, for their superior quality watches with superbly finished movements, great designs and rarity.

Don’t forget that Vacheron Constantin is the world’s oldest watch manufacturer, which was created in 1755 by Jean Marc Vacheron. Created after his decision to teach the art of watchmaking to an apprentice, the house still in business and has lived through the ages and conflicts to perpetuate its know-how.

This classic watch from the 1940s in 18kt yellow gold is the perfect witness to the mastery of the Manufacture. It has elegant teardrop lugs and a superb guilloché dial with a nice champagne patina. This waffle dial is embellished by elegant baton hands and gold dagger indexes. It also features a sub-second hand at 6 o’clock to help the whole readability. The whole watch is in a superb condition, all original with a nice patina.

Inside its 32mm case, the watch is powered by the 458/3B manual mechanical movement.
