1943 Longines Tre Tacche 35mm ref. 3864
This very rare Longines bears the reference 3864 and is known in the collector’s world by the italian nickname “Tre Tacche”, for the three distinctive notches on its caseback. Produced in 1943 and sent to Egypt, according to Longines heritage department.
This example was found in Eastern Europe. It features a strong 35mm stepcase in superb condition and a crazily beautiful radium dial. It is coming with its extract from the archives, indicating the watch has been invoiced in May 1943 to Cabri, then Longines’ agent for Egypt.
A true gem.
Case materielStainless steel
The watch is in very good condition for its age. The case is sharp and likely unpolished, dial and hands show some patina. Because of a lack of radium on the hands, these have been relumed with the exact same color as what they had before. The radium on the dial is 100% original. The watch was recently professionally serviced and runs perfectly.
