1950s Audemars Piguet Disco Volante with 18ct yellow gold Ribbed bezel

In the 1950s, Audemars Piguet, like many others, start the quest to create the finest watches ever made. All the manufacturers invest time and money to create the finest timepiece ever produced. Interestingly, it is in collaboration with Gérald Genta that the “Disco Volante” will see the light of day with a focus on the fineness and detail of the bezel.

We are particularly proud to have found this watch and its cousin in full 18ct yellow gold. Two beautiful Audemars Piguet Disco Volante prestige watches from the manufacturer. Also one of the finest watches of the manufacture in the 50s, this watch is desirable and quite difficult to find.

The atypical case made in 18k yellow gold measures 32mm and fits perfectly on the wrist of any wearer. As we always say, it’s not the size that matters but only the attractiveness of the watch. This particular presence is mainly due to the perfect composition of the lugs, bezel, indexes, dial and sub-dials.

It is powered by the 2003 caliber made by AP on the basis of a Jaeger-Lecoultre caliber, a robust and precise manual winding.

This watch is quite simply a watch for the dedicated collector.
