1960s Aquastar Regate first generation

This is all about being first: first model of the Aquaster Regate, which was the first Regatta Yachttimer wrist watch on the market. Patented in 1961 by JeanRichard SA, the 5 minutes countdown function was designed to help sailors take the best departure during regattas.

Produced in the mid 1960’s this model is the first of the Regate series. As most of the other Aquastar models, the Regate was also produced for Lorenz, Duward and Heuer.

Condition

The watch is in superb condition. Case is nice, with thick lugs, dial and hands can’t be nicer. Same for glass and crown. Nato band is new. The watch was just professionally serviced and runs perfectly. There are marks of previous openings on the caseback.
