1960s Favre Leuba Daymatic Waterdeep

Fabre Leuba, an atypical brand by its history, is among the dinosaurs of the watchmaking industry because it was mentioned as a watchmaking workshop as early as 1737. Now owned by the Indian group Titans since 2011, the brand was at the time the first to invest in the Indian market.

The Fabre Leuba Daymatic Waterdeep, is one of the rarest and most coveted models of vintage divers. Produced in a very limited number and relatively difficult to find in this quality, it responded at the time to the whole craze of the 60’s for the “Skin Diver” (watch said to be for use without equipment and shallow).

It is notably this quality that justifies its atypical look. On its black dial, atypical psychedelic hands, circles of light surrounding the 6, 9 and 12 positions. Inside its original case composed of a bi-directional steel bezel and its luminous point, an automatic movement house and signed.

This is a very rare piece, with models very uncommon and very rarely put on sale, especially in this condition.
