1960s Heuer Autavia ref. 2446 second execution
The first model of the Heuer Autavia 2446 was presented in 1962, this one is part of the very rare 2nd Autavia execution which was only produced from 1963 to 1965. It is recognizable by its tritium dot and its double dot at 12 o’clock.
Aesthetically pleasing, the dial and case are original in steel of 38,3 mm with a radium minutes bezel. It is elegantly dressed with its 3 white counters, dauphine hands, and tritium index. The Ed.Heuer caseback is screwed.
Mechanically, it is animated by the iconic Heuer-Leonidas Valjoux 72 movement, which is still considered one of the best movements ever made.
This watch has been serviced and authenticated by Abel court in 2018.
