1960s Longines Flagship calendar ref. 3106 with small second

Founded in 1832, Longines has always played a great role in the watchmaking industry for its watches and movements which, even today, are considered as some of the most reliable and precise.

As always, with this flagship, Longines perpetuates the spirit of class and precision found in every watch. It was in 1957 that Longines launched its Flagship collection, one of the very first lines to be named by the Saint-Imier company. This image of a leading figure became the emblem of the collection, figured by a golden caravel and trimmed with blue enamel struck on the screwed back of the watch.

Upon its release, the Flagship was admired for its simplicity which makes it sophisticated and easy to wear. This flagship composition is well-balanced and rarely seen with its offset second and date at 6 and 12 with. Well-conserved the 35mm stainless case is sleek and sharp, and sublimated by a beautiful cream dial patina and stainless steel indexes and dauphine hands.

This edition is the rarest configuration, with 351 caliber (small second), while most usually feature a 341 caliber (center second). It bears the same DNA, but has this twist that watch collector cherish and look for.
