Omega, a venerable Swiss watchmaking brand founded in 1848, has etched its name in horological history with precision, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. From gracing the wrists of astronauts during space missions to serving as the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games, Omega has been a trailblazer in the industry.

Iconic models like the Speedmaster and Seamaster not only exemplify Swiss craftsmanship but have also become cultural symbols. Today, Omega continues to push the boundaries of watchmaking with cutting-edge technology and timeless design, earning its place as one of the most revered names in the world of luxury watches.

During the 1960s, Omega crafted a diverse array of Geneve models that ranged from sophisticated dress watches to eccentric pieces. Despite the enduring popularity of Omega’s prominent lines like Seamaster, Constellation, DeVille, and even the less renowned Globemaster, the Geneve model name faded away and hasn’t been reintroduced. Consequently, Geneves often find themselves overlooked in today’s market. Among the many models, a few of them really stand out, including this super cool and rare reference 166.721, made especially for the Japanese market with a specific case and bracelet.

This is the grey dial variant. It features a superb dark grey brushed dial, short hands with onyx inlay and had the original mesh bracelet, that is, unlike many others, adjustable. Coming in top condition, it is a true collector.
