1960s tropical Triton Spirotechnique
At Sabiwatches, we love dive watches and rare watches. So we could not miss the opportunity to list this insane Spirotechnique, from circa 1963, featuring a rich tropical brown dial, showing a tritium patina to die for, perfectly matching the also original tritium of the hands.
Launched in 1963 the Triton was developed by a retired colonel in the French Air Force – Jean René Parmentier – and manufactured by the French supplier Dodane, known for providing many Type 20 chronographs to the French military.
Fully original, including its bakelite bezel and its ultra rare screwed crown protector, this rare find is unique. It is the quintessential vintage watch, full of the history of its one and only owner, a former professional diver. This watch has seen the sun and has gone deep in the ocean.
