1950s Universal Geneve Polerouter H20217-8 broad arrow

Universal Geneve, creator of legendary watches during the 20th century which were distinguished by their elegance and their technicality. Among the flagship models such as Compax, Aero-Compax, Tri-Compax, stands the legendary Polerouter. Created in 1954 by the already very promising Gérald Genta, when he was only 23 years old, and called “Polarouter”, to commemorate the polar flights of the Scandinavian Airlines, it was quickly renamed Polerouter.

This extremely rare model from 1957 bears the reference H20217-8. All the unique trait of the watch resides in its original Broad Arrow handset and its fully lumed marker ring, both are slightly patinated and counterbalanced by the black sector. The watch has a strong identity, thanks to its 35mm size amplified by the bombed lugs and the silver hands and applied indexes that let emanate all the watch charism.

The whole watch is in superb condition, animated by the reliable caliber Universal Geneve 138ss ‘self-winding bumper’.

A collector piece in brilliant condition, just like we love ’em.
