1969 Heuer Autavia 2446C MK1 “Fab. Suisse”
An exceptional watch.
This Heuer Autavia 2446C (three registers, compressor snap-on case), also holding the reference 2446T, for its rare tachymeter bezel, all original and in superb condition, features an incredibly rare “Fab. Suisse” dial. This mention on dials was used in the 60s for watches sold on the French market, in order to abide by local regulations back then.
The French market was small for Heuer at this time, making the “Fab. Suisse” Heuer chronographs very scarce and coveted. This example, in great condition, was purchased in Monaco in 1969 by the father of the last owner, and kept for years in a drawer. A real barn find.
