1969 Zenith A385 El Primero chronograph grey dial
In 1969, the world of watchmaking changed forever with the birth of the El Primero, the world’s first high-frequency automatic chronograph caliber. This line of innovative chronographs are today highly coveted by collectors and it is interesting to notice the Zenith recently re-edited some of these iconic models, including this very A385.
Aesthetically, the angular 37mm tonneau-shaped case is a unique design for the era. The polished and faceted sides, the grey smoked dial and the red chronograph hand form a beautiful silhouette on the wrist. Animated by the cal 3019 PHC, this is a pure classic and a staple in any serious collection.

Condition
The watch is in superb condition for its age. The dial has a nice patina, the index shows also some patina on the tritium. The case was lightly polished in the past and retains strong lines. The watch has been recently serviced at the Zenith manufacture.
