1970 Omega Speedmaster Professional 145022-69 “Straight writing” with extract
Watch lovers know it, the details make the difference. So what makes this Speedy literally stand out ? Well, first of all, it is a coveted reference, 145.022-69, especially as this year will be the 50th birthday of the moon conquest, but also because this one features a rare “straight writing” caseback, especially hard to find.
But the reference is not all and scarcity comes also from condition. This beauty is superbly preserved, showing a perfect black step-dial, a beautiful gray faded bezel and a strong vanilla tone of the tritium on indexes and hands. All original, it comes in a razor sharp case, most likely unpolished.
Cherry on the cake, the lot includes an extract of the Omega archives, showing the watch has been sold in 1970 in South Africa.

The watch is overall in excellent condition. DIal is a 10/10 with amazing patina. The bezel has faded to a rich blueish gray. The case is razor sharp and most likely unpolished. The watch has been professionally serviced and comes with a 6 months mechanical warranty.
