1970s Audemars Piguet ref. 5279 with diamond dial
Audemars Piguet, a prestigious Swiss watchmaking brand, has a rich and illustrious history that spans nearly 150 years. The company was founded in 1875 by Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet in the Vallée de Joux, a region renowned for its watchmaking expertise.
This is a thin and very crisp Audemars Piguet white gold dress watch, coming from the early 70s and still is perfect condition. The cushion case features a delicate decor, rarely seen on this model, and the light grey dial, in glorious condition, is enlightened by diamong markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9.
The 18 karats white gold case remains unpolished and free of marks. The large white dial does not feature numeral and makes the watch look bigger than it actually is. This is a clean, elegant dress watch, from one of the most appreciated brand nowadays.
