1970s Cartier Paris Ceinture Automatique 18K YG (Ref. 17001) “Jumbo”

Can you name a brand that evokes refined luxury better than Cartier? Cartier has always symbolized the elegance and luxury quintessence, present since 1847 in the jewelry and watchmaking field they are known as “Le Joaillier des Rois et le Roi des Joailliers” (Jeweller of Kings and King of Jewellers)

The Cartier Ceinture is a unique and often overlooked timepiece within the Cartier community, primarily because it was produced for only a brief period in the 1970s and never reissued. Its name, “Ceinture,” translates to “belt” in French, and the watch features a distinctive square case with cut-off corners, designed to resemble a belt buckle.

This model is the largest designed, with its 31 x 31mm case. It is also automatic, which makes it one of the rarest and most desirable version. It comes on a NOS bespoke Cartier strap. Due to the design of the clasp, it requires a bespoke strap if the one provided does not fit.
