1970s Heuer Autavia 7763 Mk2
The name of this watch comes from the first use of this instrument. At the time, it was the first dashboard meter for automobiles, aviation and zeppelins. It therefore takes the letters of AUTomobile and AVIAtion to form AUTAVIA.
Under your eyes, a Heuer Autavia 7763 MK2 dial from the 70’s with a nice original patina on the studs and the hands.
All the automotive and aviation spirit of the time are in this piece, we find the car odometers illustrated by the two counters at 3 and 9 o’clock of the time. A bright red central needle, at the time useful on the edge meters to facilitate the reading of the instruments.
In addition to this, the thick lugs, the crown signed Heuer and the pushers the piece exudes a rare lightness on the wrist.
The watch is powered by the venerable Valjoux 7733 movement with two sub-dials. The chronograph functions work as intended, with solid operation and reset of the pushers.
