1970s Jaeger-Lecoultre Memovox Speed Beat purple dial

Never miss a meeting with this absolute classic: the Jaeger-Lecoultre Memovox. This gorgeous versions is ran by the 916 movement, oscillating at the frequence of 28 800 pulsations per hour, explaining its nickname “Speed Beat”, and is easily recognisable thanks to its logo at 9 o’clock.

This one is very special. Its dial, originally blue, has turned to a rich brown/purple tone, depending on the light. THis absolutely striking patina makes it truly unique. It also features the coveted JL caseback and a full length NSA steel bracelet. A total no-brainer.

Condition

Overall condition is excellent. Dial is in superb condition, with an absolutely crazy patina. Case is in excellent shape and shows barely no aging marks. Glass is in perfect condition. The watch has been serviced in November 2019 and runs perfectly, including the alarm, loud and clear.
