1970s Jaeger-Lecoultre Memovox Speed Beat “Taupe Tuxedo”

This is a dream for both JLC and patina lovers.
This formerly silver and navy blue “Tuxedo” Memovox turned to a piece, not only gorgeous, but definitely unique.

Vintage watch lovers know it, blue dials tend to age quite heavily, the result depending on the quality of the finish and on how strong the watch was exposed to the elements. In worst cases, the blue paint peels of the dial and, in best case, as here, the blue paint fades to golden, purple, bronze or brown tones.

In our case, the outer part of the dial has turned into a delicious golden ring, while the center disc varies between hues of taupe, kaki and bronze.
An absolute stunner and one-of-a-kind.
