1970’s Piaget tradition in 18k white gold with “Palace” decor
Piaget is a famous Swiss watch and jewelry brand founded in 1874 by Georges-Edouard Piaget. Initially specialising in the manufacture of watch movements, the brand later diversified into the creation of luxury watches and fine jewelry. Piaget is known for its elegant designs, craftsmanship and ultra-thin movements.
This women’s watch of 23mm in size is part of the Tradition collection under the reference 9238 and made in 1970’s. This line was created in response to the evolving tastes and expectations of women regarding watches and jewelry during that era.
This line featured delicate cases and elegant bracelets made of gold or steel, adorned with diamonds or other precious gemstones. The dials were often minimalist, emphasizing time indication with slim hands and discreet indexes.
The one we have here isn’t an exception with its white gold case and dial engraved decoration “Palace”, sublimed by blue sword hands. Thanks to the balance between the hands/indexes and the white gold dial the dial is easily readable.
As an all-time classic, this watch is pretty easy to wear from a dressy night to casual.
The watch comes with on a leather bracelet and with its original White gold buckle.
