1970s Rolex Cellini ref. 4127 in a white gold pyramidal case
Established in 1905 by Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis, Rolex revolutionized watchmaking with the first waterproof Oyster in 1926. Pioneering innovations like the self-winding Perpetual movement in 1931 solidified Rolex’s reputation for precision and reliability. Through iconic models like the Submariner and Daytona, Rolex attained global prominence, symbolizing luxury, exceptional craftsmanship, and enduring quality in the world of watches.
Rolex is not only about Oyster… For decades, the legendary manufacture has designed and produced some of the finest dress watches, under the line “Cellini”. Round, oval, rectangular… many designs and shapes you would not expect.
This particular one is a brilliant example of what the 70s could produce in terms of good design. Clean, elegant and sophisticated. The white gold case with pyramidal texture in extremely crisp, and the blue dial brings a very elegant touch.
