1972 Heuer Carrera chronograph ref. 1553 S

Among the automatic Carrera chronographs line, the 1553 reference has a special place. Distinguished by his unusual dial design – carrera in an horizontal line and the second register at 10, instead of 9 – this very cool chronograph comes in 2 version: white accents on a blue dial (the 1553 N) and blue accents on a white dial (the 1553 S).

This chronograph is built on the Heuer caliber 15, wound via a microrotor and featuring a date, displayed at 6. This piece is mint and is a great example of a 1970s Heuer.
