1973 Patek Philippe Ellipse ref. 3566 full set
Patek Philippe, an iconic house in the watch industry. It is the only independent company that continues to be family-run by the Sterns. Known for having created a system that allowed time setting and winding by means of a crown and not by keys as before.
Patek Philippe has always maintained the growing value of its models. It is estimated that from its debut in 1839 to 2010, no more than 1 million watches have been produced.
You are looking at a beautiful Patek Philippe Ellipse reference 3566, less famous than the regular Ellipse, but not less interesting. This model comes in a well designed cushion case with a slim profile, which provide more versatility than the traditional Ellipse, with the same amount of elegance. The specific shape of the case makes it look bigger than its size in mm would suggest. This watch was a man’s watch and will still fit any wrist.
The deep blue dial shows the Patek Philippe Genève signature at 12 o’clock and no date for a sleeker look. The case shows a brushed finish all around and is unpolished, showing original lines and all hallmarks. It comes with its original buckle, box, guarantee certificate and purchase invoice from a renowned Parisian jeweler of the Place Vendôme, back in 1973.
This example is accompanied by the extract from the archives and original yellow gold buckle.
