2022 Jaeger-Lecoultre Reverso Tribute ref. Q3988482 blue & white dial – Full set

Born from a challenge in 1930, businessman César de Trey was tasked with finding a way to protect watch glasses during polo matches. He ingeniously came up with a reversible case concept and asked his friend Jacques-David LeCoultre to produce the watch. Together, they engaged René-Alfred Chauvot to design the Reverso, and thus, it was born.

The Reverso Tribute Ref. Q3988482 watch by Jaeger-LeCoultre is a tribute to the first Reverso models born in 1931. Continuously reinvented without compromising its identity, the watch features applied trapezoidal indexes that echo the dauphine hands, creating a modern interpretation of the historical timepiece. The Reverso Tribute comes with a variety of simple or complex complications displayed on one or multiple dials, each exceptional in its own right.

The Reverso Tribute pays homage to the colorful models of 1931. Today, its sunray dial is also adorned with colors to give it a bold style while preserving the integrity of the original design. The matching strap, specially crafted by the renowned Argentinean bootmaker Casa Fagliano, adds further character to the Reverso Tribute models.

Both front and back, the Reverso Tribute Duoface watch exudes timeless elegance with its stainless steel case of exquisite simplicity. Drawing inspiration from a model from the 1930s, it houses a manual-winding movement that powers two dials, offering two time zones and a useful day/night indicator. The calf leather strap has been specially designed by Casa Fagliano and is interchangeable.
