1960s Enicar Sherpa Super Jet GMT

Founded by Ariste Racine in 1913, the Enicar brand is inspired by the reverse of his family name Racine. Since then, the company has been committed to producing high-quality watches and constantly improving its techniques, such as the development of an exclusive ultrasonic movement cleaning technique before lubrication, the “Ultrasonic”.

With a commitment to creating robust tool watches, Enicar’s reputation was cemented in the 1950s when the brand was marketed in association with some of the best sportsmen and women of the day, from tennis player Ken Rosewall to racing legends such as Stirling Moss and Jim Clark, to diving pioneer Hans Haas. Over the next decade, Enicar launched the Sherpa line, which was to include many variants for water and air activities, such as the Sherpa Graph, Super Graph, Aqua Graph, and Jet Graph.

This Enicar Super Jet, a 1960s aviation-inspired watch, features a rotating 24-hour bezel for tracking a second time zone. Known for its bold design and reliable automatic movement, it’s prized among collectors for its blend of functionality and mid-century style, reflecting Enicar’s legacy of precision watchmaking.
