Heuer Carrera 2447S 1st execution with silver sunburst dial
Before joining the Tag group, Heuer was famous for its sports chronographs, showing strong relationships with the racing world, especially in the 60s and the 70s.
The history of the Carrera goes back to 1963, imagined by the genius Jack Heuer, and produced over a relatively short period until 1980. It takes its name from the dangerous Mexican professional race “Carrera Panamericana”, a real icon of the time and initially stopped in 1955.
This particular reference is derived from the first edition of the superbly executed Carrera three-register chronograph of 1964, and is further powered by the iconic Valjoux 72 hand-wound chronograph movement. Aesthetically, it is nicely composed of a silver sunburst dial in a 36mm steel case.
