Blancpain Fifty Fathoms 70th Anniversary Act 1 Series I

All Fifty Fathoms models feature the main distinguishing marks that made their legendary ancestor famous and established it as the archetypal diver’s watch. The same professionalism is apparent in the decisive choices, dictated by long experience of diving, its risks and its imperatives.

The latest members of the collection are extraordinary achievements, but also a tribute to the pioneers who made scuba diving possible. It was their passion and dedication that broadened the horizons of underwater exploration and inspired Blancpain to use innovative materials and new technical solutions to push the limits of its timepieces and satisfy the most demanding requirements.

The contemporary editions of the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms diver’s watch generally have a large diameter of 45 millimetres, allowing a wide dial opening for optimum legibility. For the first time, the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms 70th Anniversary has a diameter of 42 millimetres.

The three series of 70 watches in this new commemorative Blancpain Fifty Fathoms are distinguished from one another by a marking at 6 o’clock, under the 70th Anniversary indication, stipulating Series I, Series II or Series III, and are dedicated respectively, as they were in 2003 for the 50th anniversary, to the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Asia-Pacific and Africa zones.
