Piaget built its reputation in Geneva from 1874 onward around ultra-thin movements, and by 1960 the manufacture had produced the Calibre 12P, at the time the thinnest automatic caliber in the world. That obsession with slimness shaped a whole generation of dress watches through the 1970s and 80s, of which this cushion cased piece is a fine example.

The 33mm 18k white gold case carries the hobnail finish across its bezel, a fine pyramid textured pattern that catches the light from every angle, echoed on the dial itself with matching hobnail texturing behind applied indices and a blued steel handset. It's a design that reads as quietly bold rather than flashy, powered by Piaget's own ultra-thin automatic movement.

Condition is top throughout, and the watch comes on its bracelet with buckle. A refined, texturally rich dress watch from a manufacture whose real strength has always been in the details rather than the obvious.
