Cartier Tank Americaine ref. 1725 with box & certificate

| Yellow gold | Automatic | 24.0mm

Sale price€0,00

The Tank Américaine is one of Cartier's most architecturally compelling designs. Introduced in 1989 as a reinterpretation of the original Tank Cintrée of the 1920s, it pushed the curved, elongated case to a new level of elegance — a shape that follows the wrist rather than sitting on it. In 18k yellow gold, it becomes something close to a jewel as much as a watch.

Reference 1725 corresponds to the medium size, measuring 23 x 41mm — a format that wears with remarkable presence without tipping into excess. The silvered guilloché dial is exactly as it should be: Roman numerals in black, blued steel hands, the characteristic cabochon sapphire crown, and a discreet date aperture at 6 o'clock. The movement is the reliable ETA 2671 automatic, well-suited to daily wear.

This example presents in excellent condition and comes with its original box and papers — a reassuring combination that tells the full story of the piece.

A genuinely timeless Cartier, as relevant today as the day it left the boutique.
