Gérald Charles

Gérald Charles is an independent Swiss watch brand founded in 2000 by the legendary designer Gérald Genta, often regarded as the greatest watch designer of the 20th century and the creative mind behind icons like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus. After selling his earlier eponymous brand, Genta launched Gérald Charles as his final venture, aiming to push boundaries with bold, unconventional designs rooted in Swiss craftsmanship. The brand’s signature creation, the Maestro case, introduced in the early 2000s, embodies Genta’s philosophy of combining technical complexity with playful creativity, featuring asymmetrical yet harmonious architecture. Following Genta’s passing in 2011, the company continued under new leadership, remaining true to his design codes while modernizing collections with advanced movements and refined detailing. Today, Gérald Charles is known for its distinctive case shapes, sporty-luxury elegance, and limited production, appealing to collectors who value both Genta’s legacy and contemporary independent watchmaking.
