Gerald Genta chronograph in Yellow Gold aka. "Bomba" - Full Set

1990 | Yellow gold | Automatic | 39.0mm

Sale price€7.900,00

The Gérald Genta Ref. 3271, also nicknamed the “Bomba,” has all the playful, unconventional charm you’d expect from Genta in his more experimental years. The round case with hooded lugs and roman hour makers is a statement in itself. It shows some typical Genta gimmicks, such as the urchin crown. The dial also stands out, thanks to its deep blue hue and the, also very Genta, circled luminous plots. Powered by a customized Valjoux 7750, with 17 jewels, a reliable Swiss automatic chronograph movement, it’s a watch that mixes everyday practicality with a really unique look. If you enjoy pieces that are a bit different from the usual round-case crowd, the 3271 “Bomba” is a fun, character-filled option that definitely stands out.

Gerald Genta

Gerald Genta was founded in 1969 by the iconic Swiss watch designer of the same name, known for creating legendary models like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus. With his own brand, Genta pushed the boundaries of traditional watchmaking, focusing on bold case designs and advanced complications like minute repeaters, tourbillons, and retrograde displays.

His watches were both technically impressive and artistically daring — including playful models like the “Fantasy” series with Disney characters and jumping hour displays. Genta’s unique mix of creativity and haute horlogerie earned him a prestigious clientele, including royalty.

The brand was acquired by Bulgari in 2000, and its legacy continues to inspire modern watch design, especially in the evolution of the Bulgari Octo line.
