IWC Mark XII reference 3241 with rare original bracelet
1994 | Stainless steel | Automatic | 36.0mm
The Mark XII sits at the heart of IWC's pilot watch lineage — a direct descendant of the Mark XI issued to the Royal Air Force, refined and reissued for civilian wrists in 1994. It retained everything that mattered: the anti-magnetic soft iron inner case, the clean and legible dial architecture, and the no-nonsense approach to timekeeping that defines a genuine tool watch. In a decade that produced plenty of style without substance, the Mark XII was the real thing.
Reference 3241 is powered by calibre 884/2, a solid automatic with a healthy power reserve, housed in a 36mm steel case that wears with the kind of quiet authority that larger modern pilots can rarely match.
What makes this particular example exceptional is its completeness. The hands — so frequently swapped during service, losing their original character in the process — are confirmed original, their tritium lume having developed a warm vanilla patina that tells the full story of the watch's age. The bracelet, rarely preserved in this condition, is equally original — a combination that is genuinely difficult to find on a Mark XII today.
Excellent condition throughout. A pilot's watch that has survived intact and honest.
