Blancpain Villeret complete calendar moonphase in 18k yellow gold, mother-of-pearl dial and diamond bezel

Or jaune | Automatique | 34.0 mm

Prix de vente€12.900,00

Blancpain traces its roots back to 1735, which makes it one of the oldest names in Swiss watchmaking, and the Villeret collection is named after the village where it all began. The complete calendar with moon phase is the collection’s signature complication: in 1983, Blancpain presented what was then the smallest watch of its kind, and the Villeret has been closely tied to this display ever since.

This 34mm example is the jewellery version of that classic. The 18k yellow gold case is framed by a double row of diamonds, and the mother-of-pearl dial shifts with the light, set with diamond hour markers. Day and month appear in two windows below twelve, the date is read on the outer track by a central pointer, and the moon phase sits at six. The watch is in very good condition and comes on its original strap and Blancpain buckle.

A real complication dressed for the evening. Elegant enough for any occasion, and with more going on than first meets the eye.

Blancpain

Blancpain, founded in 1735 by Jehan-Jacques Blancpain in Villeret, Switzerland, is one of the oldest and most prestigious Swiss watchmaking houses. With over 280 years of history, Blancpain is known for its dedication to craftsmanship, innovation, and a commitment to the art of traditional watchmaking.

Blancpain’s early success was built on its production of high-quality pocket watches and later complicated timepieces, including watches with minute repeaters and perpetual calendars. By the 19th century, Blancpain had established a reputation for creating some of the most precise and intricate watches of the time.

In the 1950s, Blancpain revolutionized the watch world with the introduction of the Fifty Fathoms, a pioneering diver’s watch that is still highly regarded today. Designed in collaboration with professional divers, the Fifty Fathoms featured a rotating bezel and water resistance—features that have become standard in modern dive watches.
