Jaeger-Lecoultre Reverso classique réf. 252.8.47 - Full Set

Acier inoxydable | Quartz | 23.0 mm

Prix de vente€0,00

The Reverso was born in 1931 from a practical problem: polo players needed a watch whose crystal could survive the sport. The solution — a case that pivots on its carriage to protect the dial — became one of the most elegant mechanical ideas in watchmaking history. Nearly a century later, the Classique remains the purest expression of that original concept: Art Deco lines, Arabic numerals, blued hands, and the satisfying click of the case reversing on its rail.

Reference 252.8.47 is the large steel Classique — 23 x 47mm, a format that wears with surprising authority despite its rectangular footprint. The silver dial follows the historic template precisely: full Arabic numeral set, blued steel hands, the railway minute track framing everything within the characteristic stepped bezel.

The plain caseback — the canvas that owners have personalised with engravings since the 1930s — here remains unadorned, preserving the watch's universality.

This example comes as a full set, the most complete possible presentation for a JLC of this generation. A Reverso Classique in full set condition is exactly what it should be: timeless, complete, and ready for the next chapter.
